So I visited Kent again on Tuesday night to get more info about the classes I have to take to fulfill my major and minor. I was very confused about what I exactly wanted to do with the rest of my life. I knew that I wanted to pursue something in Journalism but I wasn’t sure what. I have declared Broadcast Journalism as my major but after last night I have decided that I am going to double major in Broadcast Journalsim and Photojournalism and minor in Electronic media production(all the behind the scenes stuff). Now too fulfill this in 4 years it will require me to take tons of summer classes at LCCC. These classes will mostly consist of all my basic freshman classes, such as math, english, science, and history. These would all be my 101 classes that would be super easy and not require too much work so I would still be able to hold down a summer job as well. I am very much looking forward to this summer before college.

Spring?
So spring is supposedly here but I don’t see it anywhere. With living in Northeast Ohio all of my life you would think that I would be use to this weather all ready. The constant change in weather and the uncertainty of what the weather is going to be like is really getting old. One day it is 45 and rainy and the next it is 70 and sunny. By what the calendar says spring is already here but the weather seems to disagree. With school ending so soon and spring break right around the corner everyone has spring fever. Spring break is very late this year, the last week in April, and as we come back to school there are only 4 short weeks left. But for the senior participating in senior project there is only 1 week. If you are taking any AP tests the time before school ends is even shorter. I myself have 2 full days of school when I come back and 1 finalizing day. This means as of today I have 6 days left. Even though everyone says to finish your senior year strong it is so hard. There is so little time left that you just want it all to be over and you want to move on to the next stage of your life. But all we have to do now is enjoy our time off and enjoy our time here while it lasts.

College?
Yes college is almost here. It is hard to believe isn't it? It seems like just yesterday we walked in the doors freshman year, and in a few short weeks we will be walking out.... This is definitely a bitter sweet time for most, we are leaving our comfort zone. We will be taking off the training wheels(our parents) and taking off on our own. For some of us this is it, we are going hours away or out of state. For others we are staying a little closer to home but yet we are going to be out on our own. This is sooooooo exciting! As the end of senior year approaches we are getting ready to move on to the next stage of our lives. There will be new classes and new people, new experiences and new challenges, and for some people new them. College is a time to venture out and try things that you have never done before, take those chances that you never dared too. There is sooooooo much to do on a college campus that you will never be bored, with all the classes, clubs, and organizations you can find someone who you have something in common with. Maybe you weren’t the most outgoing person in high school, this is your time to shine, take a chance and put yourself out there. Chances are if you embarrass yourself you will never see those people again :P But the number one thing to remember is too have fun and experience all you can! College is a great time of our lives so lets enjoy it while we are there!

Chorale trip to disney!
For the chorale trip this year we were invited to participate in the Disney Honors Program. This was a 3 day program that consisted of singing for a panal of judges, undergoing a choral clinic, and attending a gala at the end of it all. Although we did participate in this program we also had a lot of free time to hang out around Disney. This allowed us to spend 5 days wandering around the different Disney parks. We traveled by plane in order to avoid a 24 hour bus ride. We left Thursday morning and arrived around 10:45 Thursday morning. Right from the airport we went to downtown Disney and did some shopping and had lunch. Then that evening we went to the Animal Kingdom to attend a Disney Honors Party with the other choirs and bands participating in the festival. Friday we went to the Magic Kingdom. Friday was also the day that we performed for the panel of judges and went through a choral clinic. We got to work with the choral director for Auburn University. He was very helpful and his observations helped us improve greatly. On Saturday we visited EPCOT. This was the longest day of the entire trip. We spent the entire day at EPCOT, from open to close. It was a great day to spend in the park, it was 85 and sunny the whole day and because there is so much to do at EPCOT no one was bored. On Sunday we went to Hollywood Studios, formally MGM. We spent most of the day here but boarded our buses and went back to the hotel at 4 to get all dressed up for the Disney Honors Gala. This event was to celebrate all the choirs and bands accomplishments. All the participants received a Disney Honors trophy. There was a delicious dinner and after was the best cheesecake I have ever had. By the time Monday came everyone was super tired and to make everything even better it was thunder storming allllllll day. We were at the animal kingdom and there is not much cover there except for all the shows they offer. It was a great way to end our trip in Florida. With it raining all day it made it a little easier to say goodbye. When we stepped off the plane in cleveland it was definitely a wake up call. It was no longer 85 and sunny. This is a trip I will never forget. :)

ALLIE ALU IS HOTTT!!!!
Allie Alu is 12 years old at heart and she loves ponies and boys. Her favorite school at the moment is St. Ed's in Lakewood. She has multiple boyfriends who all think she is soooper hott!! Allie's favorite color is purple and she makes an effort to be everyone's friend.
So one day Allie and I were at the mall and there was this sssssssssssooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooppppppppppppppeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrr hott guy in Abercrombie! Allie saw he was wearing a St. Ed's hoodie and instantly fell in love. She decided that it was vitally important to meet this guy and add him to her never ending list of boyfriends. So we made it our mission to follow him and bump into him at every possible time without making it obvious.
After Abercrombie the guy wandered over to American Eagle, so that’s where we went. He was looking at jeans so Allie decided to hide in the jeans rack and creep from there. Trying to make it so he didn’t see her, as the rack moved around so did Allie. I stood watching from the sidelines laughing but trying very hard not too. Seeing me kind of staring at him he got a little creeped out and left, traveling to Hollister. Soooooo as you could guess that’s where we went. Haha Allie posed as one of the mannequins and just watched as he walked around. Then what we wanted to happen happened, he bumped into her. Thinking she was a mannequin he was little freaked out when he realized that she wasn’t. Allie covered up her creepiness by telling him the store was thinking about getting rid of mannequins and hiring sales people to pose as mannequins. He bought it!!! Yeah I was surprised too.
To our surprise he thought it was a good idea and wanted a job doing it. This is where the hard part came in, trying to convince him not to talk to the manager about a mannequin job. Allie distracted him by asking him to join us for a snack in the food court. He accepted! We went to Auntie Ann’s pretzels and talked for about an hour. Allie got his number and is now dating the incredibly attractive Kevin.
*Kevin is not a real person and this story is completely fictional. Though this is something Allie would do :P

Thats so baby...
So I was sitting in math today and my friend leaned over and told me about the worlds youngest grandmother. I didn't think much of it until she said that the worlds youngest grandmother is 23 years old. And yes I did type that right, 23 years old...
Skeptical decided to google this and what I found surprised me, it was indeed true that the youngest grandmother is 23.
Rifca Stanescu of Romania was a mere 12 years of age when she was married and gave birth to her daughter Maria. Maria was then married at 11 years old and had her son the same year.
In my opinion this is kinda disgusting... I mean 1. having a baby that young, 2. being married that young, and 3. being a grandmother that young. Babies should not have babies, and at 11 or 12 years old you are still a baby. That is so little, most of us are 11 in the 6th grade. Now try and remember your 6th grade year, could you at all imagine being pregnant through most of that year. I, for one cannot. When you are 11 years old the things that should concern you are what games you are going to play at recess that day, or what your mommy packed you for lunch.
It seems these days that kids are growing up way too fast. Girls are more concerned with what they look like and how they are perceived then how they feel about themselves. I know that sounds like a cheesy motivational speaker but it is very true. No one should influence the way you feel about yourself except you.

Girls are being influenced by their friends so much and some people don't see how one small, what seems to be insignificant comment can hurt so much. Anorexia is a trend that was first seen in the modeling world but has quickly traveled to girls and boys everywhere. The sad part is that girls younger and younger are looking for approval and they are seeing people in the media and they think that the only way they cna get the approval they are searching for is too look like that. "You can see it in six-, seven-, eight-year-olds. It's not uncommon unfortunately," eating disorder specialist Lee Nagle said. (http://www.abc15.com/dpp/news/health/eating-disorders-affecting-first-graders This is too early for girls to be feeling like this.
So basically what I want people to get out of this is too think about things before you say them because no matter how minuscule of insignificant they may seem it could really effect someones life. And one other thing, just feel good about yourself no matter what because what other people think doesn’t matter.

Kalahari Creeper
Okay so when you think of Kalahari you think of a family water park, not of creepy dudes trying to kidnap two 17 year olds. Well that is just what happened when I went to Kalahari 2 weeks ago.
The Kalahari adventure stated when my parents informed me that we had two free day tickets to Kalahari. The catch was that they could only be used Monday through Thursday no holidays. So to go I would get to miss a day of school! yes! haha! I decided to take my friend Katie with me. She slept over the nignt before and we woke up early the next day and went to the water park.
It started off as fun day off as a fun day of riding the water rides, playing in the wave pool, and relaxing in the indoor/outdoor hot tub. There is this one particular attraction that simulates the ocean when one is surfing. We decided to try it. As I was waiting in line Katie was standing by to watch and record my attempts(which can be found of facebook for you enjoyment). As she was watching me this guy came up to her and started talking to her. (this is not the creepy guy, he comes later) He convinced her to try the surfing ride, and waited in line with her and gave her tips. After we both finished the ride we were just going to wander the park to see if there was anything else interesting to do. The guy(whose name is Mike) started following us around. At first we were a little creeped out about this but once we started talking to him and getting to know him more he turned out to be a pretty cool guy. Katie, Mike, and I decided to go play basketball in the designated basketball area.
As we were palying a stray ball came flying towards us, and we narrowly avoided being hit. When we didn't see anyone coming towards us to get the ball we started playing with it. Then this guy came over and asked if he could have his ball back, so we gave it to him. Then he came over and started shooting the ball into our hoop. It didn't seem that weird as the area was very crowded, but when he shot the ball and it almost hit me in the head he became very apologetic. He came over and said he was sorry then tried to put his arm around me. Mind you this guy is like in his 30's, very tattooed and as a creeper beard. I swam away quickly and tried to distance myself from him. He then started going after Katie, trying to tickle her and grab her. We left the basket ball area to get away from this guy but he kept following us making comments at us. Finally we got him to leave us alone by basiclly screaming and yelling at him. He finally got scared of us and left us alone. We never saw him again. It was one of the creepiest thing ever!!!
